He hasn’t been a success as a manager!

Hold the front page Jimbo...

In November 2021, Xavi was appointed as manager at his former club Barcelona. He won the 2022–23 Supercopa de España & the 2022–23 La Liga title in his first full season as the club's manager.

He also has an average of 2pts per game. Still, funny how one might measure success  Hmmm

Did Barcelona get rid of him too hastily then😁

That's rather a bit Chinese Whispery JQ. They haven't got rid of him. It's a bit like the Klopp scenario. He's leaving at the end of the season. Maybe he could have sat on it and announced at the end of the season but it's a mark of respect to give your employers a chance to start finding a replacement AND also think about other options for himself.

In fact, both have made similar statements that the jobs are impacting their mental health. Xavi, feels as if he isn't valued too much in Spain {Barca and Real Madrid both seem to operate on a ''you must only win everything or you aren't a success'' policy} at present; effectively, his meter has topped out atm.

It's no shame in him actually openly expressing it either  Smiley

But back to the original point made. You stated he hadn't had success as a rookie manager. Yet as I pointed out - he won the Spain Supercopa and La Liga title last season - his first full season in charge. To boot a 2pts per game avg as well. Not too Xabi...sorry I mean Xavi.

Talking of Xabi {Alonso}...he's obviously doing quite well as a rookie too. But he hasn't won anything {yet} - although he boasts about a 1.8pts per game average at present. Not too Xavi...sorry, I meant Xabi  Wink

Both would be great options for Liverpool and they did pretty well with a former Spaniard manager - and the team has strong associations with Spanish players too {one obviously being Alonso}.

Who gives a fuck

This.

This is rich coming from two of the forums most devout versions of fucking MumsNet  Girl Giggle

At least the conversation is about football managers and ones who possible could become manager of another club...thus keeping to the thread topic.

If you don't like it, fuck off to another thread - it's not like we were talking about our ''DNA'' or ''How hot it is in Greece''. That's what the Trivial freds are for. You can hardly lambast people for actually talking abut a relevant topic - in a thread for said topic of discussion.

Mmmm Topic. What's your two's favourite chocolate bar? That better?  Soapy Tit Wank
