wasnt gonna bet but bet365 enticed me with a 5-er free bet, put it on simonsig to win, not putting the 15quid on Grand Crus to win.

Silverhand at 25's and Une Artiste at 40/1 has won me a bit back, but they're ones I've backed on the very small side just to make races interesting... my larger bets have done nothing (bar Quevega)

Make sure you don't get carried away. I've had a stinker, 1 place from 9 bets so far.

Should win(how many other certs have there been this week?) i've gone for oscar whiskey with pp as money back if second to big bucks. Really studied this race for ages and can't see past big bucks aart from whiskey(if he stays)but the form book has gone out of the window so far this week. all the time i've put in for each race has been a waste so far.

Dont think Oscar will stay myself, think 2'4 is his limit.
But as you say everything's gone against the grain so far!

yesterday i originally selected bobs worth and finians rainbow but changed my mind to others after putting the time in. my mrs could have done as well as me by picking ones she likes the names of. Saying that she probably would have done better.

I went to Newbury years ago, the whole way there me and my brother spent ages going through each race, looking at form, whether the ground/trip will suit, etc, etc and all that bollocks. Had one winner all day.
His missus picked a 33/1 winner and a 50/1 2nd just from the names.
To top off an utterly crap day, the one winner we had was in the last race, we went to pick our winnings up from the bookie, only to find he'd done a bunk owing use about £60 each. He must've taken a hammering to have done a runner like that.
