The Argie fans are so much better than the Brazilian fans. They are 'proper' football fans compared to the yellow-shirted 'prawn sandwich' brigade. Like the Bash Street Kids compared to the school swots. Like the Tiswas audience compared to fans of Multi-Coloured Swap Shop. The song they sing which takes the piss out of the Brazilians is great.

They've been the best fans at the World Cup no doubt. Hate the Brazilian fans, the way they just scream if Brazil go close/attack is so annoying.

Argentina are likely to get to the semis but they are god awful. Messi must be so frustrated playing in such a bad team.

Yep so poor the massively fancied Belgium are currently losing against them. Argentina have done enough in every game so far, fair play to them.

I don't think Belgium have been that great either Jan. For a supposed top class international side Argentina have disappointed in my opinion. They've been better in the second half though, fair play.

You're not wrong on Belgium. Lavezzi's coming into the game a bit, losing Di Maria was a blow.
To be honest if you take the emotion out of the WC, which many a media 'expert' has failed to do so far, most of the top teams haven't played that well.

Completely agree Jan! I hope Costa Rica can cause a shock but I have a feeling the Dutch have more to offer. Robben has been excellent so far.

I think now I know why Messi is always 'preferred' to Ronaldo. In the first half Messi was kicked on the edge of the box 4 or 5 times but looked to stay on his feet. Ronaldo is the total opposite and always goes down under contact.

I think I'd prefer holland to win, just to get a ger v bra & holl v Arg semi final line up would be great. If CR make it then fair play to them though.

I forget who said it but the comment has been made that what you see supporting the Brazilian national team is more like Sweden - White, rich and wearing a lot of yellow. They don't represent the ethnic mixture of the country, the economic balance or have the club allegiances.
But then Brazilian domestic attendances are lower than the MLS...

Someone should have a word with Palacio about that stupid thing he's got going on with his hair. Listen, mate 'when you're going bald, just accept it and don't make yourself look a complete dick by growing one hair very long and attaching a bead to it'!

What are the odds on Robben getting a yellow card for diving?

Mowbray and Murphy are so much better than either Pearce and Lawrenson or Tyldsley and Townsend.

God, I'd like to,kick Robben in the cunt.
It's not that he doesn't actually get fouled it's the theatrical twisting through the air when he does that does my heed in.
