Watching the horrible little fucker cry is one of the highlights of the World Cup so far
Loved it. Brilliant player, but a vile weasel of a man

With those results, England have the best group stage record of any team. Quite something.
Only 4 teams went through the group without defeat. Netherlands, England, the US & Morocco Ok, so some teams were done after game two and made ally of changes for the last game but still

Hi all,
Not read the whole thread so apologies if it’s already been written. I fancy venturing out for the England games. Anywhere with a big screen and bouncing atmosphere? TIA x

mbappe is the best in the world at the moment without doubt.
should keepers be penalised for strikers stuttering and dummying their penalties? its a bit of farce even thought it didn't matter.

No, rules are simple. Move when the ball is struck. Move before that to try and cheat/beat the timing, you take the risk of what happened.

but the striker is cheating the timing in the run up. pretending to shoot and then stopping seems to get you a free pass if you miss

So what? They can run around in circles if they like. Don't move until he hits it. It's not supposed to be easy.

What happened to the rule that you couldn’t stop in the run up to a penalty?

Saka for Rashford only change. Bit harsh on Rashford maybe, but plenty to like about the team.

What happened to the rule that you couldn’t stop in the run up to a penalty?
well the rules are apparently simple. but they open for interpretation as always. If, before the ball is in play, the player taking the penalty kick feints to kick the ball: in the run-up: permitted. Once the kicker has completed the run-up: not permitted so it seems like players can do it with momentum. but if they stand still and feint the shot its a yellow card offence. players are pushing this to the limit as they will always do
