Where we're you on the course?

We were near Esher & it was a brilliant atmosphere.

I tried to take some photos, but Wiggo was almost too fast to get as he came passed us.

I was just off the A3 Esher/Cobham turning on the A245 towards Byfleet. Great time

Cool, we got the train into Esher & were watching near the Cafe Rouge on the A307 just down from the train station.

Not knowing the area that well we weren't sure where would be a decent place to watch, so we went to Esher as there were several parts of the course nearby.

Very similar to us, the wife and kids picked me up from work in Chichester at 12.30 and drove towards Esher, the roads were closed so just parked up and watched. Couldn't have been easier.

But were they not also trying to give themselves the best chance to win the gold, which is what they are there for? It was very unsporting and can understand why paying spectators were a bit hacked off but don't think they are as outright villainous as people are making them out.

They crossed the line. Not playing their best is one thing but deliberately throwing the game is too much. They were even warned by the match referee and then carried on playing the same. You can't allow that can't of behaviour and throwing them all out of the competition was the right thing to do, if only to send a message out to everyone that it won't be tolerated.

Track cycling starts today - yay. Good chances of medals in the team sprints, both mens and womens finals around 1800 tonight I think.

Jamieson gets a silver, loss to a new world record no disgrace there.

Worked with his mum a couple of years back. Made up for both him and her!

Am I right in thinking that BMXing is in the Olympics? If it is when is it on?

No worries, I'm looking forward to those two events, as well.
