There's a lot of expectation on his shoulders. Lucky that Town fans are renowned for their patience and will give him time to bed in.....

I don't care if he's only made an appearance off the bench, and is a defender..

0 goals in 1 game is fucking shit.

Phil Smith in goal, Jack Smith at right back, Brad Smith at left back, Bryan Smith (the contemporary of Alan Young) in the middle, along with Alex Smith of the McMahon era, Alex Smith of last season on the left wing, with Paul Smith in the middle. Michael Smith up top. Leaves us 3 Smiths short. A ring wing version, another centre mid and a forward.

Grant Smith can join Paul in the middle. Nearly there.

Great player - even if a little overweight (I wonder how he would have done under Di Canio!)?  I can also recall a fans favourite from long ago also called Jack Smith, - an old fashioned centre forward.  Reg will know all about him!!

I think the word rotund was perfect for John Smith - but what a player

Yep Jack Smith real name John....happily a north easterner like Mighty Michael.  Good old fashioned lower Div 3 centre forward, key player in the 62/63 promo side....found life a bit trickier in Div 2, so we shipped him out to the Div 4 BHA.  Came back as a youth team coach around 1980....

John Smith, what a player, part of the Spurs double side, should probably have played for England, but had a soft spot for the pop....the couple of seasons he did for us, was like a last burning of the flame, for his talent....died way too young.
