As bad as Iandolo has been, the problem here is selection. You simply can't pick Jephcott, Austin, Williams and Wakeling in the same team, there's just no defensive cover at all and it's making the players further back look terrible because they're consistently overrun. They're making mistakes, but that's because we're basically playing 11 vs 7.

Think that was probably was yellow worthy. The break might give us a chance to sort ourselves out a bit. Next goal needs to be ours.

I still can't work out how that was a foul by Khan, let alone a yellow
I take this back, went over the top. Lucky it was a yellow

Totally pointless time wasting by Nicholls getting a deserved yellow.

Tomlinson will be playing for Gills soon, just to rub salt into this gaping wound

Why have we reverted from the Grimsby match style of play to this which is far more like a Lindsey style of pass pass pass and not shooting.

I would get Shade on for Jephcott and Cain on for Iandolo 2nd half.

The main difference is Grimsby came with attacking intent whereas Gillingham don’t have to do anything but load up their final third now.

Great cross from Hutton and Austin misshits a volley well wide. Another good chance.

The main difference is Gillingham have 11 players and did not surrender the midfield.

Tactical suicide.

On top of that we play 3 central strikers and a midfielder in the 10 slot.  What the fuck.  Left backs all over the place bit a right back at left back.  Recipe for disaster against a competent 11 man side.

Cross into the box there and Luke Jephcott is lurking on the far corner of the box - not blaming him personally but it's just not his game at all and no wonder he's been absolutely anonymous.

Hawkins, every time he plays against us we cannot cope with him down the years.

Well, that wasn't ideal. Shat the bed tactically, shat it some more defensively. Fingers crossed the second half changes quite dramatically.
