sorry if this has already been talked about but i can't hepl thinking that its about time we kept a strip for more than a bloody season! We havent changed sponsor since the kit was made my Mizuno and we had casrtrol, Strikeforce have been manufacturers for two seasons now as well. I love getting the new kit, but i am lucky to be able to afford them when they come out, some aren't. I just wonder why we change every year, thats all. :?

Think this will be the last necessary change under the Strikeforce deal.

They put the reason for so many changes was put down to making it worthwhile for Strikeforce, although that's a little questionable and I think it may be against the FA regulations/guidelines.

I'd wager the season after next we are once again voting on at least one new home or away kit.

I bet you'd turn the collar up if we did.

Lonsdale used to be huge in the 80's/early 90's...not sure if they're any good. The last time I saw Lonsdale Clothing was in Topshop after being 'dragged' in by the mrs...

how many bloody times. you can change your kit once a season if it is below £30. anything above that and it must stay for atleast one season.

we'll go back to one shirtfor every 2 season with a shirt costing 50 nicker next year

I'm sure the club would sell more replica kits if they kept the same one for two seasons.

A lot of people must be put off buying a shirt in, say, August which will be out of date in 12 months, or less, bearing in mind the team will be wearing a new kit before the end of that season.

Also, as the Dazzzzmiester says, I woud have thought it is against league rules.

Have Strikeforce stopped manufacturing sports wear and are just distributors now for Lonsdale?  I don't get it.

I imagine the new kit will look ok, as Lonsdale make Blackburn's kit which looks alright if blue and white halves are your thing.  I personally think the current home kit is the best they've had for ages.

I agree OST, our current home kit is the best we've had for ages.

Not keen on the pics of the new one, what with its Arsenal-esque white sleeves and all.

The official line on clubs changing kits is that they have two options.

You can either continue to charge £40 a shirt and keep it for two seasons

or

you have to reduce you prices (not sure what price) then you are able to change your shirt design once a season.

That is what I read when the watchdog published their report from what I remember.

I think that's what the club say, but in truth they need the money. I think revenue wise we make more changing it each season.
