What annoyed me slightly though, I heard somewhere that people are thinking of banning christmas decorations from schools as it offends other children from other religions. Why should we change our ways, for people who chose to live here from other countries? anyway thats a completely different discussion

What is totally P.C. gone mad, is the reports that councils in the South of England had banned Union Jacks/St. George Cross from being put up in windows during either the last World Cup or Euros for reasons regarding other Non-British residents

So where do you think our culture comes from and is formed?  The past that's where.  We have adopted parts of other cultures for centuries, whether it be French, German, African, Indian.  I love my country immensely, and I feel some people abuse the priviledge of being English.

Fucking political correctness bollocks, surely it's more patronising to other cultures to ban these  things. Do I give a fuck if Hindus want to celebrate Diwali, or Muslims celebrate Ramadan? Certain aspects of the left-wing are completely detached from reality :nuts:   As much as I think Mark Steele is an unfunny cunt, Reasons To Be Cheerful gave a brilliant insight into what lunatics they are.  For instance a group he was in had to choose two people to represent them and they decided one should be a woman(and only the women were allowed to vote so the men didn't intimidate them), the other black.  Unfortunately there was only one black bloke and he didn't want to do it

Good point, most Muslims couldnt actually care if we put up Xmas decorations cos they are not the ones making the decisions, its the pricks in local councils who think Muslims will be offended.
