fresh from the twitter mill

STGary_Rose Gary Rose
The players Ipswich have bid for - first rumoured to be Caddis and Ritchie - are now believed to be Joel Ward and Jason Pearce of Portsmouth

and possibly another couple of signings for the Town  one tomorrow and another later on in the week

Phew.

Whatever happened to our link with Celtic we have obviously got a few decent players from them previously but not heard anything thought they may have others worth checking out

Think the link was Danny Wilson, he was on good terms with either Strachan or Mowbray iirc.

Hehe, i've just found Cibocchi's twitter account, I can't help but read his tweets in the style of Borat.

Just made a point on another forum as people still think we are spending way above our means.

Help me out here, i went onto the swindon-town-fc.co.uk site and went back over the summer and this seasons transfers.

Not including loans

Looks like we've brought in i think 17 players on permanent deals (a lot i know)

but we released 16 that all included this lot

michael rose, david prutton, scott cuthbert, LJ Francois, Pericard, Alan Sheenan, Elliot Benyon, Jon-Paul Mcgovern, Jonathan Douglas, Kevin AmanKwaah, Michael Timlin,
Leon Clarke (bought and sold) David Lucas.

That's an average league one side punching above it's weight if ever i saw one.

I forget just how many players left and the wages freed up by that lot

Agreed i know the wage cap comes into it, it was more people thinking we've just bought a plethora of players without realising we've let go a whole team which wouldn't look out of place in league one and Michael Rose
