Football club in "full of confidence" shocker.
What sort of a club and fanbase would we be if we were going into a 2nd leg at Vale without confidence of winning the tie? we son the 1st leg 2-1, we are better away from home, we can play way better than we did in the first leg, we beat them 3-1 at their place a few months ago, we have the form player in the league in McKirdy, we are taking a sell out away attendance and would have sold near double the amount if given the tickets.
Why the fuck wouldnt we be confident?

I am feeling very nervous about this game. but i also feel confident we advance. not sure what that score looks like.
i think we can lose but yet win?? If we come out and play like we have for past 6 games, all will be fine. I have to think McKirdy will be that cocaine fueled squirrel today just to piss off the fans and other players.
The more I think about it the more i think our boys come out balls a blazin' 2-1 Town going to Wembley!

The road is never the easy one where this wonderful football club is concerned.
We've been down the route of 10 men & penalties not once but twice.
What could top that. 6-6 tonight, easy win, then Mansfield come back from 4-0 down at Wembley, hanging on with 9 men in the 2nd half for a glorious victory or getting stuffed by 4 or 5.
The more outlandish the option, then the more likely that it is going to happen.
Edit: Oh yeah, there have been so many play off shenanigans that forgot about being about 12 seconds away from a final in Cardiff as well.

Good luck to all you weary travellers, I have changed the desktop background of all my Bristol shitty/wovers colleagues at work to STFC's shield in preparation. Do we stand a chance of repeating our 3-1 win earlier in the season? Absolutely. Do I think it'll be as easy as that? Absolutely not. It's Swindon Town and we always somehow make life difficult for ourselves, so I expect to be fully on edge of my seat by the 94th minute tonight.  |
