Dear All, I am conducting some research on fans views regarding the place of politics in sports in contemporary society and I would really appreciate a few minutes of your time to complete an anonymous survey that is available via this link: https://doit.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6RUhPUDl3gMHoR8 I hope you agree it is a topical study and I thank you for your time.

A review of previous posts will probably indicate that many on this forum consider that 'sport and politics do not mix'.

In day's gone by, I would of said there is no place for politics in sport and laughed at the 2 guys who boycotted Town games because of Paolo Di canio. Now, sadly, I find myself boycotting Town games because pampered football players are virtue signalling to me and I'm paying them for the privilege. How times have changed.

Times do change and perhaps you are just getting left behind. I think it happens to everyone eventually.

Completed. Very interesting questions and I rambled a bit and caught myself contradicting myself at times, which I acknowledged in my responses.

People who say there's no place for politics in sport clearly don't understand either politics or sport.
Interesting survey - helped me clarify my views on a few of the questions raised.

I think it's more a case of there is no place for certain politics.
