I don't like rugby, but when England beat Australia, when no one thought they would, I feel it merits a song.

So to all you moaning cunts.....................Fuck off!

I dunno where you were sat Bushy, but in the South Stand it was a very brief segment of 'sweet chariot', followed by a few 'Engerlands', what's the big deal?

England played in a quarter final and won (Against the odds) so of course a large portion of the crowd were just a bit chuffed.

Thought it needed to be done i think, whenever we beat the Aussies in any sport it's always good. I don't really follow rugby but i have been watching the world cup, and i think it's quite good.

I can't watch Rugby because I get an overwhelming feeling that I need to shoot myself in the face, but I thought it was a nice touch yesterday. It actually raised the mood of the crowd.

To be fair, things did get better after that, but I wondered if it was because x amount of people were listening on their headsets. I suppose you win some, you loose some. That QPR game in 03 was brilliant cos most of the crowd had been on it to watch the rugby world cup final, made for a great atmosphere later.

Always been a bit of a football fascist when it came to rugby. Just dont think football and rugby go together. If you want to like rugby, thats a different crowd, a different set of people.

My local have wars between punters during rugby matches on tv. Some want to watch football, some rugby.

Football will always be our national sport.

I don't see the problem with it. I'm not really a rugby fan but I have no problem in acknowledging an English sports team doing well and beating a side against the odds - particularly the aussies.

I really dont get what some of you are moaning about.
I do not like rugby, never have. Therefore i was not singing (doesn't mean im not pleased for them) why should others not breifly celebrate with song when the final score came through... and as i hear it was the same at most football matches across the country.

Because rugby and football are supposed to hate each other.

Always used to be that way. Too many tossers infitrating football when they should be watching rugby.
