I'd be disappointing if I were Bradford, but 29,  a series of injuries earlier in his career, he's cashing in at his peak. Can't say I blame him.

Weren't Gillingham pretty much the most direct club going  last year bar Steve Evans' mob? Not sure seeing the ball sale over his head is going to suit Williams.

Isn't Gilligham the closest club to his Kent home? that probably played a part and Gills are spunking money on wages since December.

Maybe Williams is off to the Pikeys. Think he’d lose any goodwill if he turns up there.
Speaking for myself it's pissed me right off as it might the rest of us Kent based Town fans. Only one worse team he could've signed for,for me

Off topic a bit, but looking at http://www.swindon-town-fc.co.uk/ for something else earlier, in my mind I had it that Chalky White left before the PL season, but looking at that he was here all season but barely played, was he injured or just not good enough?

This was also on the home page, this guy would have loved the internet and the opportunities it presented!

Genuinely astonished at Williams lack of ambition in joining Gillingham. If Wrexham were interested, and Bradford clearly were, I am baffled. Gillingham must be offering him mad money.

I think that's correct. Might even be Kent.

It’s no secret that Welshman Williams is from the Kent area and always has been.

Only have to look at his previous clubs. Always expected it to be Gillingham or Colchester.

It's more money to be much closer to home for a player probably signing his last big contract. Not sure footballing ambition really comes into it, his career high was the WC and nothing in L2 is going to surpass that, even if he actually steps on the pitch for the Gills.
