I was too young to remember him the first time, and still pretty young the second spell. Just remember people liking him when he came back but for different reasons obviously. |

Yeah think they did a display early on and got some shit, was invited to the advisory board as i believe was going to try give input regarding atmosphere and got more shit so can't be assed anymore. Can't blame them |

Didn’t Summerbee only played about two games when he came back. Plus wasn’t he coming back off a decent spell at Bradford. Not sure he player enough to be classed as a failure / success / anything |

Wasnt it a money / length of contract issue? Not to say he wasn’t fucked but I don’t remember that being the reason it was such a short stay. He wasn’t on the pitch long enough for us to see one way or the other |

Could have been that. According to Wikipedia though he only made 6 appearances for Tranmere and 4 for Tamworth after that so I think it's fair to say that his best years were behind him in his second spell... |
