Didn't Lincoln get to the semis or something just a few years ago??

It was the quarter finals, I think the last non league team to reach the semi-finals is still us

Nope, it’s like our obsession with Wellens.
He’s done ok there before & they like him, despite the fact that he was shite everywhere else.

The problem here was the he was Power’s man, taking over a poor team with the club a complete shit show behind the scenes.
He got abuse on SM from the fans from early & reacted like a spoilt child which made the abuse worse.
I guess losing both your parents whilst being away from home didn’t help his mood either.

Just another example of the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time.

TBF when you hear the stories from people who were at the club last season, it’s amazing that we actually got a team on the pitch at times.

Unfortunately I’m going to miss it, have got to go to a Wedding Sad

That said, I missed Northampton at home which is probably our best home performance (certainly result), so fingers crossed

Will Evans MoM for Boreham Wood vs Bournemouth tonight.
…. and Nile Ranger came on for a couple of minutes at the end!
And managed by ex Town player Luke Garrard.

This - as noted above his record here was (amazingly when you consider how shite it was) better than Wellens record at Donny, yet a fair few on here would have Wellens back here in place of Garner in a shot.

In all fairness donny haven’t picked up since Wellens has gone, which would suggest the issue is with the players / financial situation rather than the manager in charge. Under Sheridan we had a striker who didn’t play for 3 months who’s playing for Hull this season. Last seasons relegation was multi-factorial but Sheridan was massively to blame

Players that Wellens brought in though - Like Mr DooDoo.

Mate says that they had a lot of injuries, but what was brought in was poor.

I only saw Ranger briefly last night and I thought he looked gaunt. Time catching up?

This could also have gone in the managerial thread but Matt Taylor has been relieved of his duties at Walsall.
