he's clearly got some sort of problem, be it the company he keeps, drugs, mental illness who knows.

he's a decent lower player, of that there's no doubt.

With the right guidance, probably could have been a regular Champ possible Prem player. He seems to have more lives (chances) than any cat in existence though but has the structure of football failed him too?  Hmmm

Would walk into our side!

That's not really a big deal though because you probably would too.

I’ve got Pitman beat on mobility at least...and hair!

As every rightly says Ranger is a great player but an utter walking car crash off the pitch, he would be exactly what we need up front as he was easily our best target man since the Chief.

Would I have him back, no

do we need him back? yes

would Power have him back? I think Power rather have Sam Morshead in the team.

You missed out:

But Sheridan wouldn't put either in the matchday squad!

Think you’re doing Iffy a disservice there.

I never really though of Iffy as a target man, he was big and strong with some pace and a great finisher but we never played him very often as an out and out target man who holds the ball up, he was more a big man up top who knew where the net was.

I always looked on Iffy in the Pitman style, a big bloke up front who could when asked to perform as a target man but was more of a goal scorer.

I don't think MacMahon ever got the best from Iffy even though he got a lot of goals for us.

Does singular Pitman autocorrect to multiple Pitman now?

Urgh and I’ve been actually typing Pitman each time rather than just singular Pitman

I'm surprised everyone here still thinks a played who played a handful of times for us 6 years ago and since gone on to do the grand sum of zilch would be useful. If we signed a player with the same record that wasn't famous for being a twat, the club would get slated, and rightly so.

He scored 10 goals in 23 starts, he had some of the best close control from a striker I have seen, you could belt the ball upfield to him and he wouldn't just win it he would control it and bring others into play.

His performance in the 3-2 win vs Shitty was one of the most accomplished all round striker performances I have witnessed for Town, he ran their defence ragged winning everything and scoring the winner.

He was a good player. Too good a player for the league he was playing in.

That he has gone on to do nothing is down to his attitude, not his ability.
