He is also only 33!
Probably about at the same level of fitness as he was when with us too, one of the laziest players I have ever seen in a Town shirt. Bags of talent but no pace or fitness meant he never played at a higher level than Championship almost all his career.

Nevertheless....a good couple of notches of quality above anything we have atm.

Interesting  Hmmm

I reckon that is unique.

There's a few with 3 like Grant Smith, Tony Thorpe, Simon Cox who fortunately for them miss Oxford.  Adi Viveash misses City.

Grant Smith's career was weird. 19 teams and did nothing of note at any of them except with us. 10 goals in 33 games for Town being the total outlier. Wonder what would have happened if he'd stayed put. Still only 36 but looks like he retired in 2011.

EDIT: apparently, like Brian Howard, now an agent

Kingy seemed to find a position for him, arriving late into the box. Had he stayed who knows but he didn't so can fuck off.

Also missing a last minute pen at 1-1 at Franchise wasn't the best of ways to endear yourself to the fans. Would settle for that score tomorrow mind.

Always thought Grant Smith was one of those players who didn't train well.

He only got into the team due to injuries & the fact there were no other options. Once he got into the team he stayed there and scored goals.

He then left for Bristol City & as soon as he was out of the team never hit back in

I was down in Newbury over xmas, back page of the local paper was Alan O'Brien coming off the bench and scoring a late winner for Hungerford.

I've always had this thing of remembering STFC goals etc , with what is happening in my life.  You get the same sort of thing from a good tune...the Brownlie goal, I'll always associate with a Czech bird. So yes I do remember it.
