Austin relegated us? Hmm Lets ignore the useless uninterested squad that year shall we to get a dig in.

Indeed. Infact i would say Austin was the only one who put any fucking effort in!

Trouble is only Pulis and Allardyce would take Flint, and neither of them are likely to be in situ in August.  I suppose Sam might be if Sunderland go down.

Plenty of others have made a fairly good career out of similarly limited ability.

Limited ability? He may not be a maestro with the ball at feet, but positionally, in the air, and in a one on one situation, he's incredibly good. He's also worth his weight in gold at set pieces. He's score more than anyone in our side except the front 2.

He may not be everyone's cup of tea on a personal level, but so far as taking players out of non league and developing them, he's as good a find as Gladwin. Not an Austin mind.

As soon as he has been tapped up - and his agent needs another half mill or so!

i have 2 strong memories of Flint. One is the header vs Brentford, the other is him doing the Harlem Shake in his y-fronts (he posted it online, he wasn't doing it in my living room.)

It's sad but I think the latter always ends up winning and as such I want him nowhere near us, ever again  No

More importantly did we insert a sell on clause?

I confess to not actually watching that! The description was enough.
Plus, that was post STFC. He'd never have done that when he was with us  Wink

No because he left when his contract expired

I thought we took up the option to extend his contract then sold him. One way or another we got money for him so would likely have some kind of sell on!

Edit: yes we did extend his contract!

We got money up front for him, think it was rumoured to be about £400k
