Ifil was a recovery defender who was good until he had the ball. His pace made him what he was and he was good at interception and a decent stopper with reasonable heading ability.
He was poor on the ball and his distribution was diobolical, lacked confidence and he lacked concentration at times. He did well in league 2 here and was imo player of the year.

He did well do become a pro at all i think as his touch etc was way below pro standard. Not surprised he is struggling to find a club as i'm sure he's lost a yard of pace and without that is pretty much no good to anyone.

There are some really good interviews with Digby on TheWashbag.com at the moment - all about his time at Town. The one on Glen today is very interesting but can't wait to see what he thinks of McMahon!

Ifill was great with Vincent alongside him. Ifil's problem was that he ddin't have a footballing brain. He was a good man marker as he didn't have to think and was good with an experienced head alongside him ( Cuthbert also? ) telling him what to do.

Got told tonight by my mate who is involved with the coaching setup at Hungerford that Alan O'Brien is signing for them. He trained this week with them, that is a pretty big fall from grace for a 27 year old with 5 international caps .
