i just thought of this but do you remember when we had to hope that sweden beat someone for england to qualify for a tournament?
well i was watching in a packed pub in brighton with about 500 england fans and about 100 swedish fans, the pub was going mad cheering on sweden and there was chanting and general rowdy behaviour, sweden did the honours for us and everyone went mental..........
about 2 minutes after the end of the game normal service was resumed when a bloke climbed on to a table and started to sing "we hate sweden and we hate sweden" to which 499 other english fans joined in, i was pissing myself watching the confused and rather scared swedish contingent of the pub
