I wanna know how everyone's game is going?
Im the mighty town at the moment and I have P6 W4 D2 L0! Sold Fallon for £120k to barnsley  :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: !!

Here a little tip that gets me a few goals! When setting up corners, make sure all of your team are on 'Near Post Flick On' apart from one player who stays on the 'edge of the area'. This player should have a good long shot stat! When you get a corner everyone will be by the near post apart from one player on the edge of the box, the ball should be played to this player from the corner who is free to bang it in! I get around 1 goal to every 3 or 4 corners!

Dan, what tactic are you using? Thats a good start. I haven't moved on in the game I posted some screenies of the other night.

4-4-2! Not made any signings at the moment, im just scouting a bit! I had a cracking pre season that got the lads well up for it! what formation you using?

Im using a 4-4-2 with Swindon and im doing shit. 19th place for me at the moment.  :?

I'm using 4-4-2 with Swindon, February first season and I'm in 10th and 2 points off the play-offs. Can't get any consistency though, and much like real life am finding goals hard to come by - Fallon has 12 (including an FA Cup first round hat-trick against the mighty Workington), Thorpe 10, Cureton 5 and Roberts 3. The rest of the team have less than 5 between them.

Hoping to have a bit more money come the end of the season as my 6k transfer budget won't stretch very far!

Anyone else had a game in teh snow yet?

Play a mixture of 4-4-2,4-4-2 (free),4-3-3 and 4-5-1

Cureton is on fire scored 15 (i think) so far

Been playing Roberts on the left wing as havent had anyone else and he's been called up for Wales :shock:

Just beat City in the 1st round of the FA cup at the Gate 4-1 8)

cureton is quality for me! just bout to have another crack on it! anyone found any decent free transfers?

Sent Gurney back and got Lee Grant on loan from Villa I think as a dmc his stats arent that good but he averages about an 8 though he seems to be constatnly miserable.I also signed a right back from St Johnstone for 5000 and thats it.

Im guessing you dont know about the patch they released for it?.

I have played 25 games and sit in third. Out of all the cups. Thorpe has 11 in 23 and Fallon 9 in 13.

Have signed loads of young Polish and Portuguese players and Juanjo is on his way from Caley Thistle in July!

Oh and I keep missing fucking penalties! Whalley, Gurney and Thorpe have missed my last 3.

What formation are you using?, cos 4-4-2 isnt working for me.

I mainly use two tactics. A 4-4-2 that shapes up like a 4-1-3-2 using one DM just in front of the back 4 (downloaded from the official SI Games website) and a 4-5-1 that shapes up like a 4-2-3-1 that I developed myself from a similar tactic in FM2005. Both work well in differeing circumstances. P14, W9, D5, L0. Not like real life at all.

Sadly online poker has prevented further development  :D

Set Jack Smith as your penalty taker. Got stats of 17. Never missed in 4 attempts for me.

No, but I sold Ifil back to Watford for £70k - should have demanded more tbh. Amazingly Sheff Wed sold Patrick Collins for £650k, so he's gone too. Sent Gurney back as he's crap. Signed Rhys Weston from Cardiff and George Ndah for free, joining on Jan 1st.

Disclaimer - on the SI games forum, a number of people are claiming the tactic is not so effective post-patch. I have used it to good effect on the gold demo, but it may not work in all circumstances in the full version, especially if you have installed the patch.

I had Shakes and Fallon called up for internationals!  Fallon has 5 in 5 for New Zealand! I ended up finishing 4th as everyone in my squad was at very poor Morale. Somehow in the first leg of the play-off at Forest I managed to scrape a 3-2 defeat and then in front of a packed County Ground won 4-1 to progress to Cardiff!

Just finished season one, finished 6th, beat donny 2-0 at home in the PO semi, then lost 2-0 in normal time at Belle Vue. Donny went on and scored twice in extra time after Whalley got sent off.

I'm playing 4-4-2 attacking with Shakes down the right and either Nicolau or loan signing Abdeltarek Sakali down the left. Whalley and Loan David Mannix in centre midfield

Defence, smith right back, Nicholas left back, Ifil and Comyn-platt centre backs (I was headed for mid-table obscurity when O'Hanlon got injured and I had to bring Comyn-Platt in to the team, he was a revelation)

Ok im 2nd at the moment behind Gillingham! P 12 W9 D1 L2 GF24 GA9! Im using the bog standard 442, the important thing to do is make sure all your players are set exactly to do what you want, its rubbish if you just bang 11 players into a 442 and hope to win! Also my corner tactic of haveing everyone on near post flick on and one on the edge of the box is working a treat! Migs has scored 6 from this trick alone!! :soapy tit wank:

I'm not happy.  I have been downloading it with bit comet.  It got up to 99.9%, then there were no peers left to download from and it stopped, so I need to get another 400kb or so, but have to wait around until someone else starts uploading :x

It won't work unless you download something called antiblax. Sounds like a lot can go wrong so I think I will wait til a no cd crack is available. I found out there's not one out yet

Can't play the game. There is a workaround but it gives a huge memory leak so don't even bother. The antiblax thing has caused people fer too many problems as well. I'm just gonna wait it out for a few weeks.

Rudi Skacel is great in the game and Webster is better then Pressley and is younger!

i had that larsson kiddy onloan in the first year, plays well if you have him on the left wing of a 4-4-2, with nicolau as the left back, with them swapping positions during the match

In my current game with Rangers i drew with Monaco in the 1st leg of the CL QF 3rd 0-0, anyway going into the 2nd leg i though that there was no chance of me winning after Monaco dominated at Ibrox.

middle of january, sitting pretty in 2nd, a point behind colchester, and with bristol rovers and oxford propping up the table, im quite pleased! unfortunately Roberts is off in the summer, and thorpe is off to Southampton in the summer too  :|  but fallon and kyle wilson are scoring for fun who signed from league2 obscurity, he's now sitting on 4 goals in 4 cup matches, and 12 goals in 14 starts and 3 sub appearances in the league. cant complain!

I had Kyle Wilson for Swindon in FM5, he had a finishing stat of 20.

So are you using a 4-4-2 tactic with Swindon?, what mentality,passing etc etc are you using?.
