C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\data.

Once youv'e exctracted it to their you need to tick the reload skins option under whatever menu screen it is.

You also have to start a new game from the options menu and not the wizard.

Something like that anyway, I don't remember exactly.

That does sound about right BR, I also load every player from every nation all 333,000 players it does take about 3 or 4 minutes to start a game from new but its great for all the talent from around the world, there are some good little nations with really good upcoming talent, if you can get a work permit that is.

Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Mexico, Portugal and Spain seem to have the best youngsters so its good to add these nations at least as even with the huge database it only loads around 250,000 players I think.

There are also some great staff members out there available when you use the huge database.

My football manager game seems to run slow, anyone know why?

My comp is a 2.8ghz with 1.5gb ram and a 250gb hard drive.

I am running 5 leagues with a huge database but it shouldn't be this slow.

Any ideas? cheers.

Slow in what sense.

On days with alot of fixtures, especially european matches/ internationals then it takes a while to progress anyway.

Maybe you just need to check your options. Can't remember which option but there is one relating to the amount of information that you are given on other leagues/matches.

It certainly shouldnt take that long, I run 4 leagues usually, huge database and all players from every nation ticked and mine never takes more than 30 seconds to pass from one day to the next even if its a full days footy in each nation.

Maybe you just need to defrag your machine or something OAF.

Sounds to me like he's clogged up his hard-drive with too much grumble.

You can't watch it all at once, and it will make you go blind.

Windows XP SP3, I've got some more memory coming this morning so i have have 2gb ram.

I don't run anything else when FM is on as i know everything would slow down, IMO it should be a lot faster than it is on my pc.
