Heskey plays well for England. Put Owen and Rooney will start ahead of him.

Englands current best striker should start. That being Andy Johnson.

Sven would probably put him in goal this time

Rooney is far far better than Andy Johnson. Don't let the nine penalties fool you, he's good but Rooney is outstanding and one of the best in the world.

I've no problem with Heskey being called up. NI & Azerbawotsit are crap and bound to defensive.

If we're having trouble breaking them down with out midget strike force then throw a big man on.

The choice for big english strikers is basically Beattie or Heskey (or Crouch)   As beatttie has done fuck all since moving to everton Heskey quite rightly got the nod.

Absolutely agree, Johnson is getting rave reviews for scoring an enormous amount of penalties, when in truth between him and Jermaine Defoe there is very little in goalscoring from open play, but clearly both offer very different brands of football.

Rooney is by far the best striker, and I would venture as far to say best player, in the England squad.
