I do think he'd genuinly injured now though. went off early in the Cheltenham game, sounded like a 2-4 week thigh tear. we'll see I refer the gentlemen to my previous ramblings

Indeed, I always enjoy making up far fetched rumours about players’ conduct. Last seasons favourite being the Flitcroft/Vigs Indian takeaway tale.
Corrected for you....

Aside from last night you’d do very well to find a single post from myself where I’ve relayed an off field story about player conduct.

THE CURRENT SQUAD
GOALKEEPERS
1. Lawrence Vigouroux (2019) 12. Will Henry (2019) 23. Luke McCormick (2019)
DEFENDERS
2. Kyle Knoyle (2019) 5. Sid Nelson (6ML) 6. Olly Lancashire (2019) 15. Chris Robertson (2019) 25. Joe Romanski (2019) 26. Dion Conroy (2019) 32. Luke Woolfenden (SL)
MIDFIELDERS
3. Michael Doughty (2020) 4. Jak McCourt (2019) 7. Jermaine McGlashan (2020) 8. James Dunne (2019) 14. Ellis Iandolo (2019) 16. Martin Smith (2019) 20. Toumani Diagouraga (2020) 21. Jordan Young (2019) 27. Jordan Edwards (2019) 31. Matthew Taylor (2019)
FORWARDS
9. Marc Richards (2019) 10. Keshi Anderson (2020) 17. Elijah Adebayo (SL) 22. Kaiyne Woolery (2020) 24. Scott Twine (2019) 27. Sol Pryce (2019) -- . Noel Hunt
NOTE: There may be some errors.
Our key defender, in typical Town fashion, could end January anything from being signed permanently to being recalled.
Everyone else, I think, is locked in until the summer so the club are either going to make the squad bigger or get contracted players out.
I predict Martin Smith to move on in some capacity. Maybe Chris Robertson. Sol Pryce and Jordan Young might go out on loan (depending on who Wellens can bring in).
Not expecting mass changes even if we need it. If Nelson signs permanently then that's two loans Town can go for on top of any additional permanent signings (won't hold my breath).

Reckon Romanski will go out on loan, if & when, a new LB is signed. If RW is keen on wing backs then I don't see a role for McGlashan & wouldn't be surprised if we try & move him on. Also think we'll offload Richards if the opportunity arises & think it's likely that one of the CM's will leave given that RW has actively quoted that he's after another CDM. Hopefully he'll change his stance on that once Diagouraga is fit.

Chatting to a friend yesterday about Joe Romanski. Apparently there is a clause in his contract for a wage increase when he plays 10 first team games. He is currently on 9 appearances and not on great money but if we are penny pinching and he is not injured, then what has this club become? As said elsewhere probably out on loan tomorrow.

Id wager him not playing is more to do with him not being good enough at the moment

Pretty sure there was a similar situation with Robin Hulbert in the late 90's.

That's a good name, he was flagged up as a wonderkid.... but wasn't. We did get a bit of a fee for him in the 99/00 fire sale mind. £25K from Shitty. Hulbert had a career, a mixture of non league and PV, so not much difference. As regards Joe R.... I noticed him hobbling about t'other day so likely injured atm.

Romanski travelled with the first team on Saturday and was out on the pitch before the game and at half time warming up with Pryce.

Romanski joins Bath City for the rest of the season on loan. Meanwhile Joe Romanski will spend the rest of the season on loan at National League South club Bath City, who are currently third in the division and chasing promotion.
Wellens hopes watching Romanski play in first-team games at Twerton Park will help him record a greater understanding of what position best suits the Town teenager.
“Joe Romanski has gone to Bath City, which is good for him,” confirmed Wellens.
He can still train with us every day, which is important for him because it means he doesn’t have to move.
It’s a youth loan, so we can recall him at any stage. Joe is a really talented player and physicaly very good.
But I need to watch him to find out what his best position is – and I’m not prepared to put him in the first team at the moment to find that out.
We’ll watch all of his games for Bath, hopefully that will give me a good indication at the end of his loan spell with regards to what his best position is.
