We have had Rickets and El Habd though
Yes but if you notice I did state perm signings, not loans.

The 'only Belford over 24' thing isn't quite true. Robert was 26 or 27 when we signed him and he had a perm deal - albeit one year with an option on two.
Ah fair point I had forgot him Smiley

Replace belford with Robert then because I just checked and Cammy Belford was signed on a non contract so the statement of 1 perm signing still holds true.

On their forum many Dongs fans underwhelmed by his signing. Yeovil fans round here upset at missing out on him.

Think I've signed him on every FM for about the last six years, so I'm in favour of this.

23 year old Plymouth Captain? Been offered a new deal at Argyle so we'd have to pay a fee wouldn't we?

Nice rumour but I don't think we could afford Plymuffs captain unfortunately.

I watched the PO final and didn't pick up that Plymouth had a captain called Nelson. Nice, though it would be more appropriate if he was at Pompey. Is Jamie Victory still playing I wonder?

I'd have thought the subject of Trafalgar to be taboo in France.  It is interesting that the Admiral of the numerically superior, but defeated Franco/Spanish fleet Pierre Villeneuve, was captured after the battle, taken to England and put up in a pub in Bishop's Waltham, which is near Pompey.

He attended Nelson's funeral....he was later returned to France where Bonaparte ordered his execution but dressed it up as suicide.

You're not wrong Reg. Unlike Waterloo, the French have very little consciousness of Trafalgar. I have to explain to them that the block of patinaed and painted wood mounted on a stand covered in sailcloth is actually an original timber from the Victory, and then explain what the Victory is. I liked the idea of bringing a piece of the Nelson's flagship back to France.

Somebody on that FB group has actually criticised Power for being greedy in rejecting the deal.

I kid thee not.
