I'd have Stan James out of that list

Smiley

Didn't there used to be someone on here called trigger and/or with a trigger avatar?  Used to be mocked for lacking in common sense/DIY skills before 4D took the mantle?  Have I imagined this whole thing?

Yes there was.

Damnit, I was hoping joteddyred wouldn't work out it was trigger and get pissed off until her drive home tomorrow.

Only joking joteddyred, it took me ages to get that joke too. But not as long as it took me to get a "You can't Mark Hughes" banner seen on TV during an FA Cup final in the 1980's. I'm a slow reader sometimes.

The only one that interests me is hasselbaink. History has shown with us, that if we take a punt we do well, stick to the formulaic, we end up being mediocre at best, and at the very best to be blunt. No last chancers, never beens for me please.

Absolutely this. Ex-players are an exciting unknown. I also think the expectations and tolerance for getting results, from fans, is better  - based on nothing but guess work.

I would like Martin Ling. But we must assume he is not available. No retreads please i.e the guys that have just been found wanting at another club. A Swindon connection would be good but at this time mabye Miller and Ward is the best idea as they know what has worked so far this season.

Swindon connection not good. That's not my opinion, just historical fact. Play the percentages, of what has done well before, history  should be our guide.

Terry Butcher and Phil Brown linked in the Adver.

Not sure linked means much really, but its better than Megson, Buckle, Newell.
