My main concern would be tactics. Do any of the players or remaining staff know anything about Preston and how they play? Or do we just turn up and play to the best of our ability?

[This obviously applies to any caretaker manager at such short notice]

They will be able to watch film of Preston's last few games.  You would imagine Ward is an intelligent fella would will pick organise things pretty well.

Loving the fact PDC is still 6/1.

What odds would I get on an appointment not on that list?

Another ex-Luton connection is the only thing I can come up with :S

I'd take a chance on someone like Tim Sherwood.  He has all his coaching badges & is looking to get into management

If the only option is to cover from within I'd Rather bodin or pitman did the job until a manager is found than a senior player. Macca was stripped of the captaincy and it's alot  of pressure and potential trouble to put on a player. They need to concentrate on playing.

Stefan Freund. I love the way he celebrates Spurs goals.

I think spurs turned down an approach from Blackburn for Sherwood which involved compensation? Highly thought of as a coach though.

This.

We named our Futsal team after him. I love the man because of this.

I'm still not betting against paolo and his team returning, if he can come back then so can his team.

David Kerslake or Ian Culverhouse, ex players who their coaching badges and have been in coaching for several years now, Culverhouse for 13 years and Kerslake and 12 years for Culverhouse, both have premier league connections and might be willing to make the step up now and both have connections with STFC.

I don't normally like ex players taking over but their qualifications seem pretty good for inexperienced managers.

A name from left field linked with us is Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who is close to completing his UEFA A licence and had been coachign with Nottm Florists till recently.
