Have been told this morning that the new kit will be available for lauch in August. They are 'hoping' they have the stock in time for the Grand Re-opening of the club Superstore on August 4th.
 Why is it every year we seem to be way behind the pace of most other clubs who have their kits ready well in time. In fact its quite the norm for some clubs to start selling their new kits on the final home match of the existing season!
 I understand last seasons delay was caused by the late announcement of Kingswood Group being the main sponsorers, but we have known for a while now that FourFourTwo will be the replacement.
 I'm just a bit peeved 'cos I wanted to go on holiday on July 25th complete with my new shirt, loud and proud. :(

I think you'll find it's Lotto's fault and not the clubs.

i think the blame can be levelled at Lotto, at least partially. Chesterfield cancelled their deal with lotto due to supply and quality issues, i guess we're getting the same kinda treatment. well, we know that on the quality side, we are anyways :P

If the latter, I am of the conclusion Lotto are shit.

But by now we are used to kits being delayed by manufacturers, impounded in customs, etc, etc.

In no way did I imply the club were to blame. I just stated my disappointment at having to wait until August again!
 You may well be correct that the blame is with Lotto, but until STFC publically announce that this is the case I will reserve judgement.

unfortunately we are lumbered with Lotto for one more year ... the new board will sort it out for next season like they have sorted out all the other messes made before they arrived

Thank fuck this is the last season with Lotto! i never wear a shirt to the game but it's nice to buy one to wear on holiday.

I've heard it's a problem with warehousing issues at lotto, they can't find enough blokes to put the merchandise on the back of the lorrys.  So if you want to blame anyone, blame the shirt lifters.

They are fairly different. There are some things the red onion is better for and other things that your bog standard classic onion exceeds at. They're not completely interchangeable to the point where you can say one is better than the other.

It's like saying Sweet Potato is better than normal potato. You might like one of them more, but there are lots of tasty dishes where one works and the other doesn't.

I bought a shirt today thinking it would fit ok cos the size said '38'. I'm normally a medium so I thought this meant 38 inch chest.

Just got home and tried it on and it's fucking massive.

Lotto have agreed to Fly over 950 (I think) shirts of various sizes hopefully for 19th July (not a firm date).

The remainder will be coming by slow boat for early August.

The club need to make money I'm sure they are not going to give away shirts at £30 a pop when they know they will sell them all probably straight away.

If we get to 6000 people get the free '69 shirt anyway which will obviously cost a few quid to get produced.

i expect "the ultimate football magazine" bit to fall off after 3 washes. i'm still not sure if i like the kit design... away kit looks better i reckon.

Stadium update: The plastic bits at the end of the Arkells stand have now been painted red. Previously they were a mossy green.

Also, the Arkells stand is now full of red seats.

New shirt and a new era for the club shop........i thought the shop was poor over the last few seasons....i accept that we had money problems but a club like Bournemouth had a store which was far superior to ours by way of merchandise on offer.

Just heard a rumour from a mate that we're definitely getting 900 new shirts flown in this week (some for the team, the rest for season ticket holders) before the Portsmouth game.

Anyone heard anything about this, or should i put it down to another rumour spawned by the 'creative' minds of the thisis forum?

It was on the radio the other day they were hoping to be there before the pompey game but they are strictly for season ticket holders only.

Just phoned the club shop and there will be no shirts available to buy until 4th August.

On 4th August there will be a limited number available for season ticket holders only, with the main batch not being delivered until the end of August.

Lotto are a huge sports company though. My guess is that the previous board who made the deal with them got the deal done as cheap as possible and accepted that STFC would be the lowest priority compared to other teams worldwide.

Thats bullshit. You dont get the sponsor falling off any other club shirt and they are ready for the start of preseason, and in some cases the end of the previous season in time for your holidays.

I walked through the club shop yesterday, they are really gonna have to go some to be open by August 4th.

The place is just a gutted empty room with no carpet, electric and light fittings all hanging down, no paint on walls.
