It would also make our team alot shitter, piss fans off, lead us to have a worse season, less ticket sales, less time on tv, players less likely to come here.

Yeah Dave, cos that's exactly what happened when we sold our last prized asset, Cox, wasn't it?

Oh, what a minute........

It's not really different though, is it?

Wilson and Fitton sold Cox and rebuilt the team, leading me to believe that they will do what's right for the club again.

Fitton has said he'd sell if it was right for the club and the player.

If Celtic want Cuthbert back and are willing to pay the asking price, I wouldn't expect anyone to be pissed off.

A bit of faith that the club's in safe hands and they know what they're doing, that I would expect.

Cuthbert was brilliant last year and is one of our most exciting players. However same goes for Greer as it does Cuthbert if silly money is put down we're a club that has to take a very serious look at it. Clearly Wilson/Fitton wouldn't sell both greer and Cuthbert. If you were Wilson and a club came in and offered £1.5M up front with a sell on clause for Scott Cuthbert what would you do? I know its all ifs and maybes but you have to look at our aquisitions last year and see how their stock has risen (Austin, Cuthbert, Douglas) and think that if needed Wilson could bring in players with similar quality if any did leave.

Every player has his price, if DW and Fitton decide the price and sell then I trust them, they havent done an awful lot wrong in transfers so far for the club.

The same cannot be said of the previous regime who accepted any bids.

Paynter left because he wanted Championship football we unfortunately couldn't give him that, so good luck to him.

Cuthbert, I thought was a brilliant buy at the beginning of the season, but his form did tail off a bit near the end.

I've heard quotes on here of 450K for Greer, now 1.8m for Cuthbert, if that sort of money is being offered Swindon Town will not hesitate, come on lets be realistic. That would be a huge profit margin for what we paid for him in one season.
Nobody said anything about 1.8m for Cuthbert did they?!

We've accepted 800k for Cuthbert from an unnamed Championship team reeves. Said so earlier in the thread.

I like his wiki page:

"On 13 July, it was announced that he had sensationally signed for former English Premier League club Swindon Town"

Yep, sensationally!

Cuthbert is the perfect foil for Greer. If we lose him he'll be bloody hard to replace.
