innit Cool

Whalley and Stef are my two best players by far, averaging 7.68 and 7.67 after 27 games, they're absolutely superb.

Salako and Summerbee on the wings pinging in the crosses, Fallon's scored 13  goals in 19 starts, Thorpe's got 9 in 12, Cureton's got 9 in 10 and Roberts has got 5 in 15. I'm rotating my strikers too much though.

Tom Heaton is ace in goal Cool

I'm 9th, had a really poor run following that Huddersfield game Sad

When I get home, I'll post the tactic file I used to win League 2 in Season 1 and maybe some screenshots. Try playing Roberts as the central midfielder, he is absolute dynamite there - even gets capped by Wales  Shocked

What formation did you go for in the end?

Just updated mine and started from scratch - 3-5-2

Heaton
Ifil - collins - ohanlon
shakes migz pook whalley nicolau
cureton heath

So far won 3 friendlies, all away

4-0
6-0
3-2

2 more friendlies then start the season - cureton and heath both on fire

I went 4-4-2 with a few tweaks. I'll upload it in a sec.

Pretty basic, two central midfielders (Whalley and Miglioranzi) sitting a little deeper than the two wingers, who stayed strictly out wide (Salako is a good signing on a free) and Curo bagged 23 goals, Fallon got 22 and I finished 9th after a poor run in March and April Hmmm...

Tip with corners. Leave 2 defenders back. Put your best finisher/long shots player outside area/edge of area. Then put everyone else on far post (standing). Tell your corner taker to cross to penalty area. Nicked it from somewhere else but works quite well for scoring from corners.

Mine's the same DV. There's a way of deleting the old video footage (like highlights), which speeds up the game. Will post how to in a min

Ok here goes. Open FM and load your last game. Once loaded open 'my computer'. You will need to show hidden files and folders so do this from the tools>folder options>'view' tab. Now to delete those files...

Go to your c drive. OPen documents and settings. Open the folder that applies to your user name. Then open the local settings folder. Within this is a temp folder - open that then you will see the football manager 2005 folder. Open this to get to the files.

There will be loads in there! Easiest thing to do is to go to the view menu and sort by file type. Delete all the 'pkf' files e.g. ms191.pkf. Once removed from your pc, save your game in fm2005 and then exit. Next time you load it should load/run a little faster. You will have to keep doing this periodically.

Hope all that makes sense! Worked better in cm4 but still improves speed in fm imo.
