I for one aren't going to have a pop at first timers unless they were closet leeds fans. If we are going to get the gates up we need them, or we need to get the stay aways back.
Now if the stay away fans ain't already come back they probably never will. So new fans it is.

Spot the northerner was good fun last night. Think we saw a couple in the DRS but its hard to tell as they were so quiet during the game Smiley

I don't mind the daytrippers/first timers/occasionals, whatever you want to call them. The club needs them.

What pissed me off was the fact that we were 3-0 up at home to the (alleged) best side in the league and people still left early!

Yes, that includes you STFC Dave Wink

Utter rubbish regarding new fans. I was probably like that 20 years ago. Everyone has a first game, gets hooked, comes back for more.

They're not only welcome, they're essential to us kicking on.

Very true. There were loads of people looking completely lost trying to find their seats in the Town End, but these are the people we need to be coming through the turnstiles. Two or three more matches and they could potentially be part of the furniture.

One thing I don't understand...The OS said they were expecting a capacity crowd of 14,400 and the official attendance was 14,508...

I know exactly what happened there. When we scored a young lad jumped on the pitch to celebrate. One off the older stewards grabbed him then me and a couple other fans pulled him back into the town end (otherwise he would have been ejected and prob got some kind of ban). In this brief tug of war unfortunately the steward hit his leg on something. Think it was a concrete step in front of the stand. This is why he was helped off by St. Johns ambulance.

I think I saw Mex standing up giving it large at the Leeds fans last night on Sky Sports News. The reporter at the game was right at the top of the DRS. Couldn't see his flag though so might be completley wrong.

I don't think anyone actually knows what the official capacity of the CG is.

Someone needs to go and count all the seats...

The official attendance includes corporate seats I believe. Normally the corporate seats would not be available from the ticket office, hence only 14,400 tickets (including ST Tickets) were actually for sale through the Box Office I think. Leaving 108 Corporate tickets in the Arkells to make up the extra?

Might have been the fact that there were 14,400 solde - then on the OS yesterday morning it said there were now 200 "restricted view" seats available.

Maybe 108 people purchased these, taking it to 14,508 ?

I think that some people used the half season tickets last night.

Turnstile operators aint the brightest at Swindon.

Anyone else remmember the Coventry FA Cup game 2001? The Town End looked about 500 over capacity that day.
