Sacked Steve - AKA Horrid Steve - was horrid
P.S This is at my sports centre job not my events job

Im sure it wasnt advertised in that way though - although it did state you had to be a good team player - Horrid Steve was not good at this

I hope it was the bloke, who seemed to throw everyone out of the sports hall ten minutes early. If we hire it out for an hour, then we want it for a bloody hour. divs.

They did an asset valuation on our place today, came round and tagged everything up - looks like we may be being sold......Really bad feeling here

With unique IDs etc? Sounds more like a control they're implementing.

Its not unfortunately - heard some rumours from above lets say.  We are part of a huge group and they are apparently struggling financially

Fair enough, it's just that time of year when Internal Audit reports are published etc. and thought it may have been a coincidence.

Who did the tagging and did anyone ask what it was for?

We do it all the time as part of my job Luc

It's called asset management, especially on portable items

When you need to worry is when the tags read

"Lot 1"

"Lot 2"

My employers are a bunch of cunts. No pay rise for getting part qualified, a bonus you normally get for passing exams. Not getting it because I have failed some in the past (last fail over a year ago and have passed exams since then!).

Also asked what will happen in September when my contract is up and I have qualified (touch wood I pass the exams). Was told it's probable I will be moved to another department permanentally, this would be in another office and knowing the pay structure would be at least £5k less then what I will get as an accountant.

The job hunt begins, but can't move until September Sad

Lots of companies are using the recession as a reason to change the goalposts when it comes to bonus and wage structures.......cunts.

From the job perspective that's shit, do you get any decent redundancy package?

And from the other perspective you're obviously going to be angry and upset about it, but at least she has shown her true colours now and not further down the line.
