You can argue who was a first teamer or not, the point is more that 9 wages were taken off the books and 5 loans slots that we were funding last season.
To replace that we've used two loan slots.
If we were sticking with last seasons budget, which you'd hope we were, then there should be some money already available to use without needing to offload anyone. With a defence that is already only really playing with two starters in the five, it's a little worrisome that we have not managed to get a couple more in for that position already.
Spot on, we should be in a position to bring in the 3 or 4 more we need, but some of the over reaction (not from you) that we are now relegation fodder is bonkers. The concern must be that we don’t want to fall too far behind the top 7 before we finish building the squad.

Flynn said it on BBC Wilts. About 1530ish. Said he isn’t too concerned. Shade has an abductor tear but nothing of the seriousness of Clayton.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/live:bbc_radio_wiltshireListen and scrub back here to 15.30pm He's said Jamie R talking to a player and hoping for good news on the way home. I honestly think Flynn is doing whats best for the team and the club. It's just if he can get those players he wants over the line.

I do think something must have happened in late Jan/Early Feb, which might have been when this mystery debenture bill arose.
We went from Clem front and centre, Austin in and an expensive managerial appointment in Morris/Brand to Clem absolutely absent, Morris rapidly looking like he was being held hostage and a total lack of ability to get a transfer over the line.
On another note, I though Flynn sounded like was was bluffing on the Shade injury. Suspect he might me on the naughty step.

Mirrors what happened when Power lost interest and went AWOL...

There is no situation… People are making mountains out of mole hills. He’s still attending the advisory board every month via video and he is still in contact with Flynn. He has simply got his own men in place now and is happy with them running the club. People really do look into stuff far too much.
