if brown carries on playing like he was at the end of last season then he will be a key player next season.

I'd say we need close to 9 maybe 10 new players if we’re going to challenge next season. Take away the youth and those due to depart and we have eleven first team players including Comwyn-Platt and Shakes who have only just seen out their first season in part.

I think we have to pretty much bring in someone for every position with the vital ingredient being experience.  Four or five have to have played league football and have been playing it regularly if we’re to take a gamble on the likes of Thorpe then we need to see it as just that, a gamble.

At the start of last season we had barely a handful of players that had played first team football with the majority of signings having warmed benches or been squad and youth players the season prior.  Poor pre-season and there go, we were behind before we even started.

Yes Roberts is a good player but he has never been a proven goal scorer which i think we will need. Peacock is not an out and out goalscorer either.

Didnt Roberts and Peacock both hit close to 20 goals in this division with previous clubs Exeter and Mansfield respectivly?

I'm hoping Poyet can mould Roberts in his own image.  Aggressive goalscoring midfielder.  That'd do for me.

And when did this happen? Along time ago thats for sure!

We all know Roberts has had problems and  i doubt that he could come back and be a 20 goal a season striker. I do think Peacock has the potential to score alot of goals but a few injuries have taken its toll and he wasn't exactly prolific in a league not that much better than league 2.
Cureton would have scored 20+ goals in league 2. It pissed me off when fans were slating him last season, he always gave 100%.

How many goals did Peacock & Roberts get when they were at Bristol City together? Did they play as a regular partnership?

I think some of those crazy 'performance enhancing drugs' you hear about might be handy next season.
