For me friendlies are a dull, dull spectacle. They belong on the training ground.
Yeppers, I'd have to think twice about going if we played Barca at home. Games that don't mean anything do nothing for me.

Nowadays if you get, say, Manchester City in a pre-season friendly then it's followed by the dreaded 'XI' which means you're watching the U18's plus Richard Wright in goal.

We got beat by Real Sociedad in 91-92 but it was only 2-0. Don't remember a 5-0 one but you could be right.

My mate manages Devizes and has just let me know they are playing town on 9th july 7.30 at their place(mixture of youths and first year pros). Remove this post and just add to the fixtures if desired
