Anyway sorry to cause a fuss (it wasn't my intention). I personally feel I made clear that the statement was an opinion and not an expression of fact by stating "I think that".

Woop.

FWIW, I'd echo most of what Fred said, but with a touch of agreeing with Sonic, in that the Trust is not the sole voice of the fans and nor have we claimed to be the sole voice of the fans. We do claim to speak for our members, first, and slightly more hesitantly for the broader fanbase, but we don't claim to be the sole voice and nor would we seek to be - it's not possible for one thing.

However, on the broader issue, we'd all benefit, club and fans, from some of the heat and venom being taken out of this - it's not doing anyone any favours. To quote from the deliberately brief statement we put out this evening "Our objective in forming a fans consortium is to harness this concern in a positive way for the benefit of the club" - that positive effort is where I intend to focus my effort in the near future. Those that agree with us in this effort, I'd urge to similarly focus their energies in a constructive fashion; those that don't are, of course, completely free to do so. But there is little to be gained, and much to be lost, from continued public slanging matches.

What I hope we can all agree on is that everyone's efforts should be focused on backing Dennis, Gus and the team 100%.

Quote from: "sonic youth"
I witnessed some backbiting between two supporters' groups at the weekend which makes me feel rather bitter. If ever there was a time to be united, it's now.

This is true. I heard that Rob Tuck and Paul Davis had a punch up in the CG car park after the match...
