Well the trialists up front were crap tonight, but 45 minutes isn't really enough to be sure.
As for keeping Ward and Caddis, well yes in an ideal world but I can't see it. Rooney has something, but you'd expect him to do alright tonight.
So in fact we've learned nothing from tonight?

Rooney looked good and even put in a couple of decent tackles. Caddis looked good as well. as batch said the no 7 looked to have something about him. No 11 was the Samsung guy and had pace. Bartam looked decent but is small. Alex Smith looked decent. I'd like to see the keeper being given a game where he's tested. I'd like to see the no 20 again. I'd like to keep ward. I'd like to see Rooney given a run of games and offload in Jan if he isn't up to it. I'd be surprised if Caddis is here - surely he ain't going to be happy about it.

On the OS match report it says Paul Caddis (Kisitu). Is that a triallist who replaced Caddis? If so, how was he?

He's not a trialist. Salvyn Kisitu is currently with the youth (u18) team.

Luke Rooney stand out player. Replacing Banbury triallists with last years youth team forward line at half time led to huge improvement (despite Waldon and Miles Storey both missing sitters) which I think says all you need to know about their hopes of making it into a 3rd week. Benson probably a) has no future at Town b)certainly not at centre half. Collins strngely effective in central midfield. If Darren Ward is going then we need to replace him with experienced centre half leader type like Roberts of Stevenage and not just Devine/Hall/Oakley. Main thing I noticed about Barthram was his lack of height - if we have him and Byrne at full back we really will be in trouble against long ball Stevenage/Sheff U type League 1 outfits

1-0 down to Banbury at half time, few first teamers playing:
TOWN: Foderingham, Thompson, Hall, Ward, Smith; Waldon, Collins, Abdulahi, Francis; Trialist, Williams
Anyone go?

Trialist - he's played for loads of clubs in pre-season.
Now that the obligatory 'joke' is out the way, anyone got any info (Changs need not apply).

2-0 down.
Sam Morshead @SamMorshead_SA 11m Would suggest the Town players are operating at around 30% tonight. Can't blame them for trying to avoid going flat out on dodgy pitch.
Sam Morshead @SamMorshead_SA 13m Forgot to mention a hammer had to be removed from the pitch midway through the first half. Williams launched it into the goalmouth.

Bit of a waste of time really if the pitch is so bad.

TOWN second half: Bedwell; Barthram, Devine, Kitisu, Jones; Ferguson, Walsh, Abdulahi, Francis; Storey, Benson Fods only played 45 then, don't want to put his Sunderland move at risk
