Liverpool to play in Israel, quality, couldn't happen to a nicer team.

No doubt it'll be switched to Switzerland or somewhere safer, which will spoil the fun somewhat.

I'd make them switch it to Beirut, Israeli and scouse vvankers.

i am watching the Dinamo Zagreb vs Arsenal game which i taped last nite. The dinamo zagreb the blue boys which are like the ultras italy and france were amazing of seen. I also listened to the game last nite and you can hear them sing for 90 mins straight when their team got spanked 3-0 by the gunners.

Liverpool and hearts play tonight against Maccabi Haifa and AEK Athens Respectively. The liverpool game is on ITV 1. Don't think that the Hearts game is on tv.

Now spartak Moscow are through winning 2-1 on the night and 2-1 on aggregate.

spuddy 11 wins in a row italian football history. Technically finishing 2nd. Before the match fixing scandal roma would of been in the uefa cup. The 11th win in a row was against lazio.

the players have spent more time on the floor than on the pitch and why regardless if where the 'contact' is and I use that term loosly do players always hold one of their knees?

Drogba went down in the middle of the pitch with no one around?

what a bunch of whinging cunts...

I hope Barca do go out. I loved that game.

I'm no Chelsea fan, but being English, i get as iinto English teams in the Champions League as i get into England in their games.

I love to see English teams beat and out play opposition who are "classier". Can't stand cunts who talk shit, like commentators, about how dazzling certain European teams are. Chelsea looked far classier than barca, yet any chelsea moments of magic are considered good, where as anything Barca et al do, it's moments of brilliance/magic/class...

Barca were average, yet a few moments will be spoken of as breathtaking. Réal, Juve, Milan, etc, all get spoken of in this way, but bring no extra class to the party. An English team looks more explosive and has all the creative flair and vision of the slower euorpean teams.

An English team will win The Champions League this year, i'm sure of it.

Oh, the reason for the rant is the fact that i have a mate whose favourite team is Barca... Is he spanish? No. So support the english teams you cunt. :)

Barca are a nice club to like, run by the fans, democratic, the no sponsorship deal they have going on (I presume the Unicef deal was an act of charity) and they stood up to the corrupt Franco supported Real Madrid in years gone by.

Having recently read about them I'm a fan of Sociedad and bilbao, good basque history, fiercely proud. But whilst the notion of members and elections is great in Spain especially real and barca there is massive political bitterness and bias in some circumstances. These members cuse problems too though, very fickle even by fan standards, and loyalty only seems to extend to when the team is winning.  I like barca, but good to see them get the draw last night as they just about managed more hystrionics that Chelsea, and were taking the piss somewhat.

Yes you can, the local authorities are biased towards Real.  In the 50's Barcelona did all the ground work to sign Di Stefano and then the authorities "pursuaded Alfredo" to ditch Barca for Real.

Barca club of the people for the people.

The Hoops were very very lucky, it was never a foul in the first place. Jarosik needs to join the Torquay Initiative. Despite that, it was a fucking fantastic free kick.

So what exactly does make you the third best team in england OTHER than being third in the league???

Surely form over the course of a season is designed to measure ability and quality and thus throughout a season their standing in the country?

Is this not why football is played in seasons to measure who is best and who is for the sake of this little rant....third?

Correct. Navarro breaking Burdisso Nose, Cruz and Cordoba chasing Navarro trying to break his leg.

Now that was entertainment !!!

Good win for Liverpool, they looked the better team throughout, shows how strong the premiership is when even the third best English team outclasses the best Spanish team.

Even though Liverpool are third in the premiership it doesn't they're the third best team in England. The same for Barcelona.

Yes but clearly they are though. I think it's pretty obvious Man United and Chelsea are the best two teams and then Liverpool after that.

Quality, I knew FCB could beat the over-paid, over-rated ego that is Real Madrid. Who knows this could be our year? (I doubt it though)

10 second goal would of helped a very good strike by Makaay.

I hope for another good result for FCB tonight, although Kahn and van Bommel are suspended. Hargreaves is fit to play and I will be interested to see how young Michael Rensing plays in goal - a big test for him

COME ON BAYERN!
