I think that handing a transfer request is a bit thick tbh.
As i understand it, If you are under contract, and the club attempt to move you on, by accepting an offer, you are legally entitled to the remainder of your contract when you leave. If you hand in a transfer request you negate all of that.
Couldve had more money aden if the price was right!

I would imagine that he knows he'll be offered higher pay elsewhere than the terms of his contact at Swindon and this is the key driver of his action.

My bet would be it's going towards the club's income deficit ;-) Regardless of your views on the board, or their motives. Their clear first aim is to try to make this as close to a self sustainable league 1 football club as possible and that doesn't necessarily mean keeping all the best of your current crop. PDC's theory of 2 quality players for every position sadly doesn't work for a league 1 club with a mediocre following. The fact is there seems to be interest for Flint. There doesn't seem to be interest for TAH etc. |
