I must admit I was a bit "meh" about the games - but I have watched so much of it, staying up late to watch stuff that would only be on eurosport - and its getting better and better - loving it.
Certainly helps that we're winning so many medals. I'm sure it was never like this when I was a kid. To be 3rd in the medals table behind two countries with populations of 300m+ and 1,300m+ is astoundingly good. We must be doing something right. |

Brilliant stuff. I haven't heard his name mentioned a great deal in the build up to the Olympics, all the attention has been on Ennis this evening and he's quietly gone about his business and got gold. Fair play. |

Text from my mate who works at Fitness First: to put Farah into perspective he's just averaged 22kph for 28 mins. The top speed of a FF treadmill is 21 kph. That is ridiculous.

I wasn't massively looking forward to the games before they started, but they've been utterly enthralling and I'm hooked. I've watched nothing but sport for the last week and there's still another week to go!
As Ardiles said above, for a small island nation our success compared to the Americans and Chinese is fantastic.
