I remember the League Cup tie against Wednesday in '85, when they were 3rd in the old First Division and had beaten Man Utd 1-0 a few days before, and we were picking up after a poor start in the old Division 4. Peter Coyne scored the winner after 10 mins.

Great times - that was after the two games against Sunderland - when Lou ran onto the pitch to shout at the ref. Then we went onto to get twatted by Ipswich. Peter Coyne - the mullet.

It's a bit of a haze for me but my first away games were in the early 70's when I was a student in s yorkshire. Went to see the town play Rotherham away which we won, & Wednesday away which we also won. I know we scored twice cos it was only when we scored that I realised I was in the wrong end !

Remember going to Rotherham one year when Mayes scored 3 on debut.......shit scared on account of a little alley you had to walk down near the ground.

Remember sitting in the town end a few years ago against wednesday, went 2-0 down (Maybe 3-0?) and brought it back to win 3-2? Might of drawn 2-2 or 3-3, honestly can't remember. Think it was a tuesday night game.

I remember we played them in the FA cup, won 4-1. Howard scored directly from a corner. Got me hooked properly

Yes! 2-0 down then 3 goals in 9 minutes to turn it on its head. I'm still convinced their 2nd goal was offside but I soon got over it!

First time I can remember the Owls down for a Lg 3 game, we thumped them 5-3 and Dave Syrett scored a goal after doing a sort of Cryuff turn* which left the last outfield marking defender a spectator as he went on to score

*probably in fact just got the ball caught under his feet and got out of it unexpectedly well
