Another manager getting ready to be disappointed by Leon Clarke.

www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25946503

Oh yeah a measly 23 goals in 34 appearances for Coventry. I'm sure Steven Pressley couldn't wait to get him out of the door.

This is a player that's scored 44 times in the couple of seasons since we swapped him for Benson, and has just been sold for £750,000.

I don't think we got half that number of goals from Benson and we won't see 75p back on him. Another master-stroke of football management. It's no wonder we're potless.

What are you on about? It was Steven Pressley's disappointment that I and the article were referring to.

That's not how it reads. It reads as if you're implying that Kenny Jackett will be disappointed in him as a player, because you think he's not very good.

OK. You're the last person I want to get into an argument with, but if you bothered to read the article you'd have seen who it was referring to. But you know best. Yes, I think Leon Clarke is a complete donkey.  Doh

I thought it was quite clearly in reference to Steven Pressley's comments.

So did I. But I do have a sneaking admiration for lumps' ongoing taking the opportunity to twist the knife into the mouldering corpse of Di Canio's reputation at every available opportunity, which was actually his main point I believe.

Like I was the right person to have that particular argument with.  Roll Eyes

Shoulder again.

As someone mentioned on here, Connell has joined Northampton. Is King still around or has Wilder ditched him?

Yep,cracking signing for Wolves, paying half a million more than they let him go for a few years back....brilliant that is.
Good striker without a doubt...but look at how many clubs he has had....think we all know the reason why that is.
Why did no Championship club come in for him i wonder,he has the ability...sadly not the attitude to go with it i reckon.

£750k for someone who could fall out with his shadow would be a huge risk for any team, although I guess the parachute payments Wolves are still getting makes it less so for them.

I'm sure he will do well for them right up until he finds something to upset him.

Bugger. Had a bet on him to be top scorer in the Championship.

Clarke will undoubtedly stick the ball in the net in this league but he's a fucking idiot! Would I pay £750k. Not a chance!
