Wilson has nothing up his sleeve. He's said as much.

Cuthbert is the better player, sure but isn't a lead. We saw just how badly we need one before and after Williams, Vincent and Greer.

All our centr backs are 23 and under.

Agree with this.

Gordon Greer is a fuckin' queer,
he left us to take it up the rear.
Gordon Greer, this is what we sing,
Brighton fans'll smash your back doors in.

Your back doors in, your back doors in.
Brighton fans'll smash your back doors in.

teehee

Pissed off.

But 250,000 for a 29 year old league 1 centre back is paying well over the odds.

Hopefully we can get Cuthbert and Lescinel tied down on longer contracts.

Douglas was like a second captain last season, and Im sure he'll be brilliant in that role.

This is exactly my feelings. Shame we just didn't get rid of him a week or so ago then we could've signed Mullins to play at centre half.

Oh well, I've thrown enough stuff now. They've got their man and there's clearly something we don't know about that's contributed to this. Maybe rumours of a bust-up are true and Wilson wanted rid? Whatever, we'll manage to replace him in some capacity.

There's also the fact the Adver is the only place talking of it. And Greer has to agree terms and we know Brighton can't match our wages.

If they are going to pay £250k then they will at least match what he is on now.

I know it's also conspiracy theories but there must be something wrong. GG won the fans over and was a clear leader on the pitch.  His organisation of the team was 2nd to none.

This is what worries me because although we have decent defenders none of them have the leadership skills that GG had. At times you could see GG shouting at players to get into position & communicating with players to give them a lift.

At times GG pissed me off with stupid freekicks he gave away in dangerous positions which did cost at certain points in a game.

This has lead me to believe that either there is a huge rift at the club and GG has fallen out of favour or GG wanted to move on.  Maybe family reasons who knows?  One things for sure there will be 2 stories the clubs & the players we will never know why he truly left.

Whoever and if the club replace him we need that leadership quality that GG possessed because that's what made him stand out on the pitch over the others.

Can not believe this is true. Bad decision!!!!!!!

Brighton will be crowing over this but we will finish above them.

Lucas for captain.

When I saw the headline about Morrison's time earlier today, I wondered if Greer actually was going.

One good thing apart from the money, he misses his first game for Brighton!

Meh. As long as we sign a decent enough replacement I'm not too bothered. He was very sloppy towards the end of the season, isn't getting any younger and has a dodgy injury past.

Would have liked another 100k though

hmmmm I think a 'big signing' is required up front now and a decent replacement for Greer bought in as this is likely to really piss off alot of fans ....... I know I am, utterly bizarre bit of business
