The fact we're due a compensation fee for Odimayo is perhaps putting a few clubs off him.
Sent from my XQ-AD51
Maybe and feasible if it’s only L1 & 2 clubs looking, they’re strapped for cash, just like us and with an expected increase in PL and Championship clubs possibly offloading more than usual during the close season then pickings for those looking will be richer.

I think Wellens made a mistake with Pitman. If you want to play a high tempo pressing game Pitman isn't suited to that. He wasn't really a target man either. Actually think he was more of a crap Berbatov/number 10 type.

You lead from the top, sadly there was no leadership. Taking it from ‘The Athletic’ piece the club was run like an amateur pub team and some of the players attitude matched it. I’m surprised they didn’t warm up smoking a fag and drinking a pint.

“He will complement the exciting attacking options that we have already have and will play a big part in our quest to be successful this season." They must have been overcome with fumes from the old gas storage dept. Exciting attacking options? Well, if they have a fast paced attacking line up he’ll be left in the centre circle when the and if they score.

He won't be in the centre circle. He'll rarely make it that far away from the penalty area.

He seems like a good professional so should be looking after himself gas thread is full of highlights from 5 years ago+ when he was trim. I won't say he wont score goals for them as he may well do but there was no obvious way to get the best out of him last season- even at the start when we actually had options around him. set pieces and 6 yard box scraps. o well not our problem and genuinely pleased he has gone. hopefully a youthful front line

Had we had a proper pre season with a full complement of staff I would have been happy to keep Pitman. I think he will score goals in league 2. However, given where we are - we can't wait until next year for him to work off the pies so meh

He will score goals and would have scored goals for us, but the football we would've had to play to accomodate him is boring as fuck. I think we can replace his goals with a more dynamic and interesting player.

In light of recent news reports I am not sure the gas manager being excited about complementing attacking options is necessarily a good thing?
