'Striker' is pushing it a bit. I'd have gone with 'Forward'.

my thoughts exactly.

another big earner off the wages to bring someone new in? I know he's a tryer but he's hardly prolific

Quality. Been a complete waste of space for months.

I totally agree he's shite but getting rid of him with no replacement is stupid as fuck..

Well with Ranger there we've got the same number of strikers we started the season with. Think it's safe to assume there'll be at least one forward signed before the end of the month as well.

I agree in principle but imo he's been that off the pace that I don't think we'll miss his presence at all. Storey despite being far from a finished article looked better in that position even if it was only against Ciren - he still had a more productive game. Then we've got Ranger who did more in 10 minutes than Willo has done in months. We are light in numbers but I don't think we're any worse off.

If being short for one game enables us to get in a striker more suitable for the role for the whole season then so be it.

Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if we got somebody in today as they probably have some players lined up. One out, one in.

I thought Ranger was Collins' replacement?

Collins left before the season started, I'm just going off the squad we've put out these first 4 games. Not disagreeing with you Williams leaving makes us look lacking up front, but we've coped with 2 senior strikers so far, sure another week or so won't doom us to relegation by Christmas.

A good player with confidence shot to bits, when the team aren't playing very well he's the main focus from our fans for some stick. Watch him score a load of goals for Yeovil now, I hope he does.

I liked Williams and he took a lot of unfair stick. He's been totally isolated this season up front.

That cunt Di Canio ruined him by bringing him from injury way to soon.

Still a fan of Williams, he's a wide forward and being played out of position. Shame the fans couldn't see that.
