Each to his own. I was a kid when the first film came out and remember enjoying it at the cinema, but that enjoyment never grew into the fanaticism that is engendered by many for the series.

I agree, I watched them as a kid and recall enjoying them. As an adult they've had zero appeal, but I watched episode one and thought it was seriously bad. That was enough.

Mind you, as a contrarian, if films have loads of hype I'm often more inclined to dislike them.

I intend to re-watch LOTR trilogy as there's no end of people who foam at the mouth when I say I found them boring and didn't finish the 3rd.

Clap

Ask your Norwegian friends and relations if they have too. Most of the people I worked with in Stavanger hadn't a clue that it existed. Strange as my mate over there insisted that he had a pet troll in the barn when he was little.
I don't know anyone other than you who has seen it! Very enjoyable though

I've seen it. Wasn't sure whether it was meant to be serious or not. Regardless, I enjoyed it.

I thought it was supposed to be a serious horror film but it's very tongue in cheek and very dry humoured. The main character is played by a well known Norwegian stand up comedian and chat show host apparently...

Yeah good film, I took a punt on it when it came out on DVD, think I bought that and Iron Sky, also cool.

Got Ant-Man for Christmas which completes my Marvel DVD collection..

I was impressed really, quite light hearted with a good amount of humour.

Plus the token Stan Lee cameo.

Tonight we're either watching Tucker and Dale vs Evil or Jurassic World. Maybe both if we go all out. NYE as parents of young kids is the best!
