People are using cost as an excuse, which is a cuntish thing to do. One or two of our mates are doing it. I don't understand Swindon's population, I honestly don't. Most are a bunch of money-grabbing glory-hunting twats, you'd have thought they'd have loved it. This is a one-off opportunity in my book and fans, whether you're a huge fan or the occasional watcher, should embrace it. Unless of course all these people are gambling that we'll become mint and will be off to Wemble every year

A guy at work paid for himself, his wife, his mate and his 3 kids. Know how much that cost? Over £350 and that's just for tickets. I don't think it's an excuse at all, the only reason I'm going is because I've got my ticket, travel etc paid for me as a birthday present. I mean I would have gone regardless but against my better judgement! For one or two it's OK, but for the Town fans that have families to look after it's a fucking expensive day out.

I think 30,000 town fans is a hell of an achievement considering things like the cost, average home attendance and the fact we have been so shit for the past 15 years.

I really did consider going to the game but with plane tickets, game tickets and everything else it would have cost me well over a grand.

Not sure if this has already been said but ....

It says on the Millwall site that they have sold over 34000!

Have we hit 30k yet?

I think we stalled at 29k. which as I said isn't bad when you take into account our last 2 wembley appearances at a higher  level game, prices and wrongly or wrongly the fact it is millwall and  some day trippers may be put off.

mixture of high prices and millwall will put a lot of people off but then we will have almost 30k there which will still make a lot of noise for the lads

I think 30k in the current economic climate is bloody good, the prices were not cheap at all, I remember when we played at Wembley in 93 the cost of my ticket was £8 when the average price at the CG was about £6 a ticket.

What with it being Millwall as stated...that will inevitably put a lot of timid glory hunters/families off going, even though trouble has rarely taken place in and around Play Off finals at Wembley in the past.

Every Town fan there will do us proud, and I will be bursting with pride no matter what, even though I won't be there with you all.

Whatever the figure, even if it is only slightly above the last one, an update on the o/s would be nice, plus and update to that counter thing. The lack of updates looks amateurish to me.

I think the fact we're selling season tickets again suggests we're not selling any more Wembley tickets!

Town have been allocated 36,700 tickets for the game in the West side area of Wembley.

Just over 30,000 tickets have now been sold to Swindon supporters.

Just over 30000.

30001 then!

That'll do nicely I think.  Imagine if you'd get to keep the revenue off of that.

apparently the revenue from the final gets split between the 4 playoff teams.

No it doesn't.

The revenue (ticket sales less costs) from the semi-finals is pooled and half of it is shared between the 4 teams and half the revenue from the final is shared between the 2 teams. The other half of the money from the semi-final and final goes in to the Football League pool, which I believe is shared out amongst all teams. There is no TV money either as the games are part of the main TV deal.
