The crowd have only just come alive in the Doubles tennis. There seems to be quite alot of empty seats as well. They weren't there in the mens final, so where have people disappeared to?

Some more tickets have just come up... I'm off to watch some Handball on Wednesday.
Good stuff. Wish I didn't have this work lark. I'd love to go to another event.

To be fair the French have a point about the unsportsmanlike antics of the anglo-german cyclist. If the badminton players were chucked out for not participating in the Olympic spirit I think Hindes was treading a very thin line, as you could tell from Hoy's reaction during the interview.
Reading the Telegraph re:Australian rowers it's hardly having a go at Great Britain's success at the games is it. I thought it was a pretty poor article more than anything.
Also just to add thank God Murray/Robson didn't win the tennis, Robson getting gold would have been a travesty, a truly awful tennis player. Silver's good enough for her.

They seem to have forgotten Pendleton's disqualification then.
Besides, they can take away those two golds and we'd still be way ahead.

We could learn a lot from Australians, they have a great attitude to life I think, well the ones I've met. As for the french, they take a bit of work but again a great country and great people.
Don't get the hatred of countries and their people, I find most nationalities alright on the whole, even Americans.

A lot of national stereotypes do actually ring true.

That's actually a really daft comment from the Ozzie's about the noise.
They are effectively saying atmosphere was 'too' good.
*Edit
Actually, it may just be the press twisting it. They could have just been answering a question:
Q: What was the atmosphere like? A: It was so loud we could hardly hear each other.

Don't get the hatred of countries and their people,
I didn't mean the entire nations, just their comments.

Indeed, I lived in Germany for a few years in my previous job and much of the '10 German Bombers' stuff that emanates from this country often makes me cringe. That said it doesn't mean we can't poke a little fun at each other during major sporting events does it? As Batch says fuck the Kermits...
