Are all fanbases as obsessed as ours at wanting to bring back ex players?

I include myself in this too.

Its natural for lower league fans. Unless you're an expert on all four divisions, they're players that you know exactly what they can do.

Except, we don't. Not in a managerial context.

I think it may be easier to do before a season starts? There's a lot to learn mid season and in the thick of action and pressure mounting at the same time.

DJ apparently signing for Gillingham today - along with keeper McGilvery and Jayden Stockley.

I'd have hoped we would have at least enquired about DJ, I guess the managerial situation will not have helped.

Yeah, me too.

I've no idea how player contracts work but you would hope we'd have had some kind of 'first dibs' kind of clause. Seems a waste for him to sign for the 92nd best team in the league pyramid. That said, they ain't going to be there long if they are signing players of that calibre.

Not really followed DJ post Swindon and I guess it’s kinda up on the air as we don’t have manager currently but if are going to continue with a 433 he is exactly the type of player this team is missing.

I can’t imagine any thought process went into any player sold under Power, other than how much money he could get to put in his pocket.

Would have loved DJ down the left wing for us, Stockley is a decent big lump up front too.

Shame as I thought DJ would kick on and get Town even more money from add ons with fees, still would love him back now, one of the trickiest players I have seen for us, yes his final ball was sometimes a bit weak but he had it all and with good coaching could still improve a lot.

Having recently come into some big money also helps and having Kenny Overcoat as newly appointed DoF also could be a pull, they are paying Creepy style huge wages apparently.

My cousin is a Plymouth fan and said against them last season DJ tore them a new one down the wing and he is surprised they have let him go.
